Garments can discolour due to substances such as mud and grass, liniment or oil and of course perspiration all of which may not be fully removable by washing. Careful adherence to the garment instructions will minimise likelihood of staining. The extent of discolouration can be greatly reduced by following a few simple procedures.

Soaking and/pre washing of the garment in water and detergent as soon as possible after use can reduce discolouration, using at least the same volume of water as the garment being treated. Always follow detergent manufacturer’s instructions especially those intended to tackle heavy stains and avoid products containing bleach.

The use of pre-wash soakers will assist in the removal of stains, particularly with white kits. Wash dark colours separately in low temperatures, rinse thoroughly and hang to dry. Do not iron custom printing. Avoid leaving kit folded or bundled together whilst damp or soiled after use. Summit Sports cannot accept any liability for discolouration or damage to garments resulting from staining caused by elements foreign to the materials used in manufacture.
